Differentiating by varying questions is a technique that can be used with all students.
Teachers should vary their questions by asking different students different questions based on their level of:
  • interest
  • readiness or
  • ability
This way, all students are answering important questions that require them to think but the questions are targeted towards each student’s strengths and needs.
The attached chart contains a few suggestions about when to ask questions, what kind of questions to ask, and how to ask questions. Check it out!
